Our Wine

In 2015, we produced our first limited production vintages of Arizona wine. 77 cases of Sangiovese and 59 cases of Malvasia Bianca were produced in Camp Verde with grapes sourced from Buhl Memorial Vineyard located in the Kansas Settlement near Wilcox, Arizona.

During the next three years we tended our maturing vineyard and transformed a horse barn into our winery, chilled storage facility, and bottling line. In 2018, we opened our winery and tasting room and began producing our vintages at Salt Mine Vineyard and Winery in Camp Verde. We also completed our first limited harvest of estate grapes, and produced our first estate vintage, a 2018 Malvasia Bianca.

In 2019, we increased our estate harvest and produced approximately 500 cases of Arizona wine, with the majority of grapes sourced from our Camp Verde vineyard.

In November 2021, the Verde Valley was designated as an American Viticultural Area (AVA), the third in the State of Arizona. This designation identifies the unique geography, topography, soils, and climate of the Verde Valley AVA as a federally recognized grape growing region.

In 2022 and 2023, 80% of our source grapes were estate grown, and the remaining 20% were grown in the Verde Valley AVA.
